Have you ever experienced being judged or punished more harshly for the identical infractions by a white counterpart?
Have you been told you're too aggressive?
Have you had an experience where someone did not expect you to be smart or capable?
How does your gender and race, and their intersection, influence how you are treated in society?
Black girls are often ignored in policy discussions. Tell your story or perspective to help shed light on gender injustice and societal bias.*
Please submit 1-5 paragraphs typed in Times New Roman 12-pt font. Not more than one (1) Word document page.
All submissions are due by June 30, 2017. EXTENDED THROUGH JULY 15.
*EACH APPROVED CONTRIBUTOR WILL RECEIVE A CONTRIBUTOR BADGE FOR HER WEBSITE & SOCIAL MEDIA. A CONFERENCE CALL WILL BE SCHEDULED ONCE ALL SUBMISSIONS ARE RECEIVED.

If you would like to be an "Expert Contributor" to Black Girls Hear, and be featured on the back cover, immediately email firstname.lastname@example.org with your headshot (min. 300 dpi), your title and a brief bio sketch for consideration. There is a feature fee of $297 before June 10; $347 after June 10. There are 6 max. expert contributor slots available.

By submitting a story entry below, you enter into agreement with Literacy Moguls Publishing. By submission of your entry, you acknowledge that you understand that you would be a contributor to Black Girls Hear and that contributors are not charged, nor are they paid at any time for entries. By submitting a story entry, you also understand that this is a voluntary submission and that you may either add your name to your entry or indicate "anonymous". Your profession/title would also be helpful, but not required. Please proof your entry by first typing it in MS Word and then copy/paste it above.
