An award-winning youth and women's activist, Shekina Farr Moore, Ed.S., is on a mission to empower one million girls with healthy esteem and unapologetic FIERCE. That is, freedom, inspiration, expectancy, resiliency, confidence and empowerment. She believes healthy esteem is the key to tapping into the leadership capacity of women and girls.
Shekina is the founder and CEO of B2F Girls!™, a girls empowerment incubator. The company offers CARBS™, an effective self-esteem course for girls; serves as a national certification and training resource for women who mentor girls; and produces national girls empowerment events and campaigns. Those events include Tween Star Awards™, a national recognition platform for girls, The B2F Women's Retreat, AuthenticiTEA™, B2F Girls Roundtable, and the B2F Girls ZOOM™ Conference. Her campaigns include: Blah to Fierce™, Leaders Wear Pearls and Letters to Our Daughters.
She has been featured in many publications, TV and news programs, including Bravo TV, CW-22, WSB-TV 2 Atlanta,108 Praise Radio, People You Need to Know Magazine and Carolina STYLE Magazine, to name a few. Shekina has been recognized as one of 52 Empowering Women Who Empower Girls and featured in Atlanta's Who's Who. She is the honorary recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, the Woman of Impact Award, and the Presidential Volunteer Service Award signed by U.S. President Barack Obama.
Shekina is also President of Black Reins Magazine, an American quarterly geared to African-American Cowboys and horse enthusiasts, founded by her husband, Stanford E. Moore.
Her B2F Girls! organization was recently honored at the GA House of Representatives with a standing ovation and read House Resolution at the Georgia State Capitol, officially marking February 26 as "B2F Girls! Day".
Shekina specifically founded the B2F Women's Retreat to serve her mission empower one million girls with healthy esteem. She realized that other women were working with and could reach girls and they were already serving as role models. What if we could get them to uplevel? What if we could empower them to empower girls through our certification program? Thus, the vision was birthed.
