Black Girls Hear

Anthology

Women and Girls!

Has your racial and gender identity ever made you doubt your abilities?

Have you ever experienced being judged or punished more harshly for the identical infractions by a white counterpart?

Have you been told you're too aggressive?

Too loud?

Too sassy?

Have you had an experience where someone did not expect you to be smart or capable?

How does your gender and race, and their intersection, influence how you are treated in society?

Black girls are often ignored in policy discussions. Tell your story or perspective to help shed light on gender injustice and societal bias.*
